Shanghai Morilin Textiles Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned trading company established in July 1998, with investment from Japan’s Mori Corporation, a company with a history of 365 years. Currently, the company employs over 50 staff members from both Japan and China, including personnel from the headquarters, the Fiber Materials Department, Fashion Apparel Division One, Fashion Apparel Division Two, and the Materials Department. Its annual sales volume amounts to 280 million yuan.
The company’s business encompasses all stages—from raw materials to finished garments. The Fiber Materials Division primarily engages in the distribution of sewing threads, pocket fabrics, and specialized medium-weight cottons used in garment production, supplying designated sewing factories such as Japan’s Uniqlo, Shimamura, and Adidas. The Fashion Division One mainly sells yarns for sweater production, supports Japanese brand companies in their product manufacturing activities in the Chinese market, assists the Japanese headquarters in managing production facilities, and undertakes garment production under the “Little Penguin (Munsing)” brand for Shanghai Descente Commercial Co., Ltd. The Fashion Division Two primarily sells functional “Deymix” yarns used for producing knitted and woven fabrics, assists the Japanese headquarters in managing production facilities, and undertakes garment and bag production under the “YONEX” brand for Uniqlo (Shanghai) Sporting Goods Co., Ltd. The Materials Division mainly sells Japan-specific copper-ammonia fibers, triacetate fibers, and Lenzing’s Tencel and Modal fibers, as well as high-end fashion fabrics sourced from the Owari region of Japan, and undertakes garment production for Ningbo LeKo Apparel Co., Ltd.’s “Lecoqsportif” brand and Shanghai Sunran Clothing Co., Ltd.’s “0” brand.
Our company’s employees have extensive experience and advanced skills in the long-term production management of Japanese apparel products. We boast a fully integrated production management software system, and our collaborations with various brand companies typically begin with the development of fabrics and accessories. We rigorously scrutinize key fabric characteristics, including physical properties, colorfastness, and pilling resistance. Every stage of the sewing process—cutting, sewing, ironing, quality inspection, and packaging—is subject to strict quality standards, ensuring that we deliver high-quality products to our customers. Activities undertaken to improve quality
To enhance the knowledge level of domestic employees and ensure that their insights are reflected in product quality, the company is holding MSB (MORIRIN Textile Basics) seminars in Shanghai and Qingdao, China.
Going forward, as textile-related laws are revised, graphic symbols for usage instructions are internationally standardized, and various regulations and rules evolve, we will also flexibly adjust the format of our lectures and remain committed to continuously enhancing the shared awareness among personnel involved in product production management.
